Petal tiles

The Petal Tiles were inspired by the fall season when flower petals and leaves have fallen from the trees. They take on a new patterned form on the ground as a sort of carpet to walk on.The pattern is scattered and random and gives a more abstract version of traditional oral pattern. The tiles seen here on the one meter wooden base serve as a temporary wall piece fitted to wooden pegs. The tiles can be grouted permanently to the wall for use as an accent for bathroom or kitchen surfaces. The shapes are voluminous and rounded to give a more tactile shape.
