Six Bells
The Clay Studio, Philadelphia, U.S. 2026.
The bells are a continuation of the F#/2158g. They were made while in residency at The Clay Studio of Philadelphia, where I had the opportunity to try reiterating the previous piece in a smaller scale and in multiple. I took the opportunity to try a new method of press-molding waste clay with bisque molds as well. The work was made entirely from waste and second hand materials. Relating the tone of the bell with the balanced weight of the waste talks of the perceived purity and value of materials.
